The Reds are eyeing a lucrative new sponsorship deal as their long-standing partnership with Standard Chartered nears its end.

Liverpool FC is on the brink of a significant commercial shift. After more than a decade of partnership, the club appears ready to part ways with Standard Chartered, the banking giant that has been a fixture on the Reds' shirts since 2010.

The current front-of-shirt deal, which brings in around £50 million annually, is unlikely to continue beyond the 2026/27 season. Football finance expert Mo Chatra has confirmed that Liverpool is looking to secure a new deal worth £70 million or more, a move that would place them among the elite in global sponsorship agreements, alongside clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Standard Chartered has been part of Liverpool's identity during some of its most triumphant moments, including the Champions League and Premier League victories. While the partnership has generally been smooth, recent shifts in the financial landscape have prompted Liverpool to seek a more lucrative arrangement.

Chatra points out that despite larger fanbases for clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United, Liverpool boasts the most engaged supporters. This engagement gives the club confidence in negotiating a better deal. Standard Chartered may not be willing to meet Liverpool's demands, pushing the club to explore other lucrative options.

Adding to the urgency, Liverpool’s sleeve sponsorship deal with Expedia, currently worth £15 million per year, is also set to expire next summer. The club aims to capitalize on this opportunity as well, hoping to secure upwards of £20 million for the sleeve deal.

As Liverpool prepares for a new chapter in its commercial strategy, the end of the Standard Chartered partnership marks a pivotal moment in the club's evolution. The Reds are ready to push for more, and it’s clear they believe they can achieve it.
