Romano stated, 'I maintain my position – Enzo Maresca will not return to Chelsea. Impossible.' 'This summer, next summer, we will see,' he noted, indicating that the club's internal belief in Maresca's capabilities is strong.

While other names, including Vincent Kompany, have been floated around, Romano insists that Maresca stands out as the serious candidate for the job. 'There is nothing signed, nothing completed. But Maresca is the leading candidate to become the next Manchester City manager whenever Pep decides to go,' he explained.
